The service was great, Leo was Amazing. Very attentive.

The wait time was very long. Can't seem to find a reason why, when they had tables open. I wouldn't say worth the wait unless you want cheap sushi, won't say it the best in PB.

The atmosphere is really fun and vibrant. I guess you go there for the vibe and 99 cent sake bombs.

The food was good and priced well. 50% off menu item specials you can't beat that.

Popular sushi restaurant with several locations throughout San Diego.  This location is just a block away from the beach in PB.

My girlfriend & I came here on a Friday night for her early birthday.  I did not make a reservation so we waited about 30 minutes.  Poppin'!

Service was friendly & great even though they were so busy.  Food was was decent, it is a cheaper sushi restaurant after all.

    Salmon Nigiri:  Good.
    Eel Nigiri:  Good.
Sushi Burrito:  Very heavy with rice.
Protein Roll:  I do not recommend getting this roll.  The fish did not taste fresh & was tough.  Also, everything about this roll was very watery for some reason...
Tornado 151:  Baked tuna & scallops.  Large appetizer for 2.  I would recommend getting the other dish that is just Baked Scallops because the tuna was just too much & did not taste good baked.

The sushi here is very reasonably priced for fresh & yummy tasting sushi & a clean environment.

The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is due to their customer service: We were sat 15 minutes before their lunch special ends, but they didn't take our order until 2 minutes after the lunch special end time. We even asked and stated we had been sitting for 15 minutes, but they refused to give us the lunch bento box special.

The pricing of 50% off sushi was worth 5 stars, service was not. Is it common for sushi places to not wear gloves when they're grabbing handfuls of raw fish to make sushi? I watched one of the employees drop a knife on the ground and only did a quick 1 sec rinse with water before immediately utilizing it to cut more sushi rolls.
If the hygiene doesn't bother you, the sushi was delicious otherwise and the prices were great. The volcano roll was pretty cool, literally on fire.
The atmosphere is pretty loud, but if possible, seating by the sushi bar is the best spot for quicker service and view of the rolls being made.

Came here for sushi and saki bombing and was not disappointed!

The saki bomb deals were incredible-- a dollar for each. We got the sushi during a lunch special and it was half priced. I ordered the vegetable tempura roll and quite enjoyed my meal. The restaurant itself is nothing special, but the prices for what you're getting is great.
